I aim to kill first phase in 5 tbows, this makes the boss transition perfectly into the next vent activating. However I killed it in 4 tbows here, so instead of waiting for the vent to activate, I used a couple dragon knifes to fill in the ticks. Unvented hydra only takes 25% of the dmg you deal.
